The Bichon Frise is a breed that originated in the 13th century. Historically the Bichon Frise was a favourite of French Royalty.

They make for a great loyal companion. Ideal living environment: families with young children, active seniors, singles, couples, living in either urban or rural settings.

Bichons are one of the top hypoallergenic dogs, with a good temperament that travels well. They are well known for their white coat which is always thick and curly, making them extra soft and fluffy.

Training

Bichon Frise is an intelligent breed, but they can be slightly difficult to house train. For this reason, they do the best with crate training at an early age. It's important to be patient and consistent with them. They are slow to mature but do well with obedience training at a young age. They love to perform and do well with tricks once properly trained!

Temperament

The Bichon Frise has an extremely appealing disposition. They are playful but not hyperactive. They are very social and love being part of a family. They interact well with other pets and are excellent with children. They make good watchdogs and will bark to alert their family to visitors or danger. Bichon's are curious, loving, and captivating.
